Curator for the exhibit which focused on Tourism within Florida prior to the arrival of Disney. It included a selection of items from the University’s Special Collections department including journals, letters, and photographs.

08/12 Ecotourism

University of Central Florida, Universal Orlando Foundation Library –

Orlando, Florida

Curator for the exhibit which focused on Sustainable Tourism. This exhibit featured travel books from the UCF Rosen collection that documented green travel; namely ecotourism, sustainable tourism, Agritourism, and the like. A path finder and handout were created and uploaded to the library website as well.

08/11-10/11 Florida: The Land of Enchantment

University of Central Florida Libraries, Orlando Campus – Orlando, Florida

Curator for the exhibit at UCF which focused on Florida’s history from 1850-1950. The exhibit featured rare books and ephemera from UCF Special Collections highlighting the history of Florida’s first tourists and travelers. It contained newspaper clippings chronicling the acquisition of Florida from Spain, social interactions, in addition to art portraying Native Americans. Also featured was correspondence between visitors to the state and their family, as well as pictures of local cities before the arrival of Disney World.
